This year we decided to cook dinner together for our Valentine’s Day celebration.
On the menu:
Prosecco with Framboise and fresh raspberries, served simply with mixed nuts
Onion Soup gratine with Smoked Gouda & Toasted Baguette
Arugula, Endive, Red Onion, Mandarin Orange Segments, Toasted Walnuts w/Honey Yogurt Dressing
Herb Crusted Roasted Boneless Leg of Lamb w/Red Wine Reduction, Cherry Tomato, Mint & Garlic Sauce
Lemon Roasted Asparagus
2011/Francis Coppola Diamond Collection Cabernet Sauvignon
Chocolate Fondue, Strawberries, Raspberries, Blueberries, Pound Cake Cubes
What a great way to spend Valentine’s Day with your loved one! Cooking the meal together was loads of fun, we both had red aprons to match our table! The difference of this meal from going out to a busy, noisy restaurant: the service was superb, the atmosphere couldn’t have been better both comfortable and relaxed, the food was delicious and the best part: it was shared with the love of my life!
Eat Well….Be Well!
Yes, another Valentine’s day dinner has come and gone. It was a wonderful evening. I walked through the door and found flowers, music, candle light and a beautiful table setting. Chef Jim was a very busy person. It was fun, as he stated we cooked dinner together. Wonderful setting, food, music and drinks. Thank you honey for a wonderful evening. Love, Kathleen

Wonderful! We often do a cook-together Valentine’s but this year it was simply impossible – we had a super busy day at work, and opted to go out. It was fun, but of course nothing like the meal you two put together….

Sally, we spent most of our younger years going out after tough days at work and grew to hate it, then started rushing home and throwing something together. Since I started my own biz, I’ve enjoyed taking it on as a chore and opportunity to stretch my talents, while pleasing our palates. This year was so much more fun to work in the kitchen together, and was completely spur of the moment, in that all I had planned to do was cook and set a nice table. Then when I realized Kathy would be getting off early-ish I had the brainstorm to incorporate the interactive aspect!
