Tonight’s dinner was just that, meet the boyfriend event. DD brought over her new beau to enjoy a Chef Jim repast! BTW he’s delightful, quiet (around us does he have a chance to be otherwise?) handsome and treats her very well!
The menu was also friendly and not intimidatingly over the top, at least not for us!
Trader Joe’s Spinach & Kale Greek Yogurt Dip with celery, carrots and Trader Joe’s Pita Chips; Trader Joe’s Farmhouse Cheddar Truckle–a white cheddar encased in a round of wax with Trader Joe’s Social Crackers (seeing a trend here? Yep, hors by TJ’s)
Twisted Greek Salad with the usual suspects and grilled shrimp and halved ripe figs and the dressing was made with Fig Vincotto Vinegar! Foccacia for the bread element!
Roasted Pork Tenderloin w/Fennel Seed & Spice rub and Wedges of Fennel with a Fennel & Lemon Pan Sauce served with Roasted Lemon/Rosemary Marinated Potatoes.
Mini Pumpkin Cheesecakes w/Ginger Snap Crust; Mini Lemon Curd Topped with Meringue and a Meyer Lemon Cookie Crust.
A great time was had by all, we hope we passed the muster! His plates were very well cleaned! Looking forward to our next visit!
